Before you know it, you will not even see wired speakers on the market - this is the impact that wireless speakers have had on the entertainment industry. That being said, there are those who will be wary of this new technology, as change can come slowly to most. Their worries are not entirely unfounded - wireless technology is still fairly new when used in this manner, despite its presence in the form of radio for nearly a century.

One way in which wireless speakers are preferable is that they are far more portable than their wired counterparts, giving you the ability to place them wherever you want without worrying about tangling or tripping over cords, or not being able to reach. There is no need to rewire the whole thing in order to get the speakers where you want them, and you can keep your living room nice and uncluttered.

Also, you can use them outdoors if you want to have some music playing in your backyard. Invite guests over for a barbecue and enjoy the loud speakers that you can place anywhere you want without fear of people tripping or not covering the space. Wireless speakers are additionally very strong, as they were built to withstand the elements, especially since they do not have cords. While they can stand up to a lot of punishment, try to bring them inside whenever the weather gets especially bad, so as to prevent damage to the equipment.

Though they are incredibly durable, this also means that the sound quality can be affected if they are placed at a great distance from the receiver and the main unit. On the other hand, you can find models that work at various distances and will work at longer rangers. All you have to do is choose the one that will work ideally for you; there are even some that have FM radio signals that will enable you to play FM radio through the wall, opening up your possibilities even further.

Finally, you should consider the sound quality. While you may want to think that wireless speakers have better sound quality, this is simply not true. Wired speakers, due to their direct access to the signal via the wires, will have better sound quality. However, you can trust that, if you keep the speakers at a relatively close distance to the main transmitter, wireless speakers can have just as good a reception and signal clarity as wired speakers. You just have to keep them in range, and you will be fine.
